Inclusive Learning and Enrichment
Inclusive Learning
All Hallows’ School believes that each person is a learner capable of acquiring new understandings and skills throughout life. Learning is optimised when a student’s particular needs are recognised and catered for in both curriculum design and pedagogical practice. The school is committed to accepting, understanding and attending to student differences and diversity which can be cultural, physical, cognitive, sensory or social-emotional.
Students with disability, those who are gifted and talented, and those for whom English is an additional language sometimes require educational adjustments. This support is overseen by a dedicated team of inclusive learning teachers and teacher aides who work in conjunction with class teachers. This team minimises barriers to learning and assessment so that each student is given the opportunity to reach their full academic and personal potential. This commitment to addressing the diverse learning needs of students is reflected in the day-to-day life of the school and augmented by the provision of personalised learning plans for identified students.
