Career education is the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes through a planned program of learning experiences in education and training settings to assist students to make informed decisions about their study and/or work options and enable effective participation in working life.
Preparing our students for their future pathways
The All Hallows’ School Careers Education and Pathways Program gives students the opportunity to explore the variety of tertiary pathways available and career opportunities, access timely careers counselling, and receive subject selection advice in order to prepare them for a world where many career changes are the norm.
Our students are introduced to the Careers Development Program by All Hallows’ dedicated Careers Counsellor. This program is delivered to all students from Year 5 to Year 12 as part of the Fit-for-Life and Life Skills programs. The Careers Development Program forms an integral part of each student’s pathway development. Through this program, students identify their interests, personal qualities and strengths, learn about career clusters, post-school options, vocational qualifications, tertiary studies, work and overseas study opportunities, and receive support in creating possible pathways and setting career goals. Staff, students and parents collaborate to help and support students prepare and make wise decisions about their future pathways.
